Company history

1978  
1978 - Former Atlas Copco employee, Valere Maes starts his own company. The main focus in the early days is servicing and maintenance of stationary electrical compressors and compressed air installations. this period in history compressor installations are still dominated by reciprocating air compressors (large piston compressors.)
In this same year (1978) he gains the official and exclusive Ingersoll Rand dealership for stationary (electric) air compressors.
1980  
  1980 - Monique van Meirhaeghe, Valere's wife joins the company to take on several responsibilities in purchase and administration as well as sales.
  1982
1982 - First employee is hired and put on payroll.  
1985 1985 - This year MAES Compressoren , as the company is called, starts its first rental activity of portable air compressors. mainly to give higher flexibility  and peace of mind to the customers during maintenance work or installation overhauls.
1990  
1990 - The company keeps growing. In the year 1990 it has 3 employees.
1992  
1992 - This is a remarkable year. whem Valere's son, Filip, joins the company after his graduation as Industrial Engineer in electro machanics and Business Economics. Filip focusses mainly on the commercial side of the company.
  1996
In 1996 Maes signes a contract as official Belgian dealership in portable compressors. The agreement is with Ingersoll Rand Construction and Mining group (CMG).
1998  
1998 - The company professionalises more and more. Not only focussing on repair and maintenance but on complete industrial turn key compressed air installations. As part of these turn key projects, the company installes kilometres op compressed air piping. Tradiotional galvanised steel piping and as one of the first to use SimplAir (TESEO) extruded aluminium high tech air piping.
1999 1999 - Official Ingersoll Rand dealership for both stationary and portable air compressors in the East and West Flandres region in Belgium.
  2000
2000 - Start up of the used compressor sales and export activity. This is a necessaty because of the higher number of customers trading in there old machine for a new one. The "remarketing" initiative is born.
2002 2002 - Maes compressoren counts 13 employees in their Deinze facility near Ghent, Belgium.
  2005
2005 - Official dealership for Ingersoll Rand power generation is effective.
2007  
2007 - The split of Maes Compressoren and the creation of an independant company focussing on second hand compressors as core business. The company is called MACHINERY RESALE bvba. A significant milestone in the world of used construction equipment sales.  
2008  
2008 - Maes Compressoren full throttle and expanding to 25 employees.
2009 2009 - Investment partner to expand the company even further. Partners are GIMV and VECTIS.
2010 2010 - Maes Compressoren enforces the management team with other professionals from the compressed air industry. It grows in the meanwhile to 30 people.
Filip Maes refocusses with his wife Sabine Beel and join forces with Henk Uphoff to further build a worldwide used equipment enterprise. All 3 bundle their knowledge and experience from the compressed air industry and combine this with management skills. To become the leading, reliable and independant supplier of used construction equipment.
               
We hope to welcome you at our facility in Deinze or in the future at our 22.000 m² yard with 5.500 m² warehouse in Waregem , just along the motorway E17 Ghent - Kortrijk Planned to open 2012
2011  
2011 - Machinery Resale becomes special member of DUMA. Leading portal to Dutch exporters of used equipment and machinery www.usetec.nl
2011 - Machinery Resale exhibits on its first trade fair. This trade fair for used equipment and machinery takes place on 6-8 April 2011 in Cologne in Germany.
Q3 - 2011  
3rd quarter 2011 - Machinery Resale starts up a dedicated international fleet of large portable air compressors to facilitate the rental industry throughout Europe. It is launched as MR Air Force
July - 2012  
We haved moved all inventory to our new facilty in Waregem. More than 850 machine, 80 trucks in 2 weeks time

INTERN COMMERCIEEL MEDEWERKER   [BOUWMACHINES]   M/V

+ Functie :
Als commercieel medewerker zal je de binnendienst versterken bij het opmaken van offertes en de verwerking van orders.
Je geeft klanten advies, onderhoudt dagelijks telefonische contacten met hen en brengt de verkoop tot stand.
Zowel nationale als internationale klanten ontvang je op het bedrijfsterrein en je realiseert de verkoop ter plaatse.

Je doet verschillende navragen van transportkosten en je organiseert de transporten van A tot Z.

Je stelt de productdatabase op punt, vult ontbrekende gegevens aan en legt daarmee de basis om de verkoop te ondersteunen.

Deze functie is een Sales binnendienst met verkoop op terrein die zeer internationaal gericht is.
Gevestigd in Waregem op een terrein van  25.000 m² met zichtlocatie E17.

+ Profiel :
Klantgericht, resultaatgericht, kunnen onderhandelen
Snel en efficiënt omgaan met computers en systemen
Affiniteit met techniek en / of machines
Goede talenkennis, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk, Nederlands, Frans, Engels en Spaans (Spaans is een groot pluspunt).

ALLROUND TECHNIEKER

+ Functie :

Als allround-technieker ben je verantwoordelijk voor onderhoud en herstelling van diverse bouwmachines.
Je werkt aan compressoren, generatoren en grondverzetmachines.
Ook laden en lossen van machines behoort tot de werkzaamheden

Gevestigd in Waregem op een terrein van 22.000 m² met zichtlocatie E17.

+ Profiel :

Goede kennis van dieseltechniek, hydrauliek en mechaniek, kennis van elektrotechniek en elektronica zijn een pluspunt.
Efficiënt kunnen werken.
Flexibel, Team Player, communicatief & sociaalvaardig.

Filip Maes | Owner and CEO
 
Biography: Graduated (Master degree) in 1992 as Industrial Engineer in electro mechanical engineering and business economics. Directly after his graduation he started in the relatively small family business Maes Compressoren. He was mainly among other things responsable for the service department and the sales activities. Married Sabine Beel in 1996, she also joined the company as financial administrator. After 1996 Filip excelled the business activities and took over officially the operational side of the company and became CEO. Started another company called Machinery resale in 2007 where he is currently CEO. As from 2010 he handed over most of his daily management responsibilities to be able to fully focus on his dream and growth within the used construction equipment business of Machinery Resale.

Sabine Beel | Owner and Financial officer
Biography: Coming from a family with entrepreneurs in Agricultural and building equipment.
She holds a Master degree in economics (Antwerp).Started her career in the 1990’s as international salescoordinator within a textiles producing company (Escolys).Married Filip Maes in 1996 and has been working together with him since that time within Maes Compressoren as financial and administration expert. Maes Compressoren one of the most succesfull Ingersoll Rand distributors in Europe.
Now adays she is the driving force behind our excellent administration.

Biography: Responsible for many years for the development of the marketing, media and communications department in a material handling equipment multinational, TVH-Group Thermote & Vanhalst, well-known for used forklifts, spare parts and aerial platforms. Creating  the worldwide corporate identity and developing the marketing communication strategies. Worked afterwards as a marketing, sales and general manager in production and communication oriented companies
